Palampur, Himachal Pradesh's tea growing region, is about an hour from Dharamsala in the Kangra Valley. Tea was introduced there in the mid 19th century by the Superintendent of Botanical Gardens in Peshawar, Doctor Jameson. You can visit the tea estates and even stay on one. The Lodge at Wah is an eco-friendly boutique homestay on Wah Tea Estate. It has eight rooms in three gorgeous, rustic cottages. Tea plantation and factory tours, and tea tastings are provided to guests.

Day 01: Chandigarh – Palampur

After arrival at Chandigarh Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to Palampur. En route, enjoy beautiful views of the Dhauladhar mountains. Once you reach, check-in the hotel and relax for some time. The rest of the day is at leisure. Spend a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Palampur

On day 2 of your weekend getaway from Chandigarh, have a delicious breakfast. Get ready and proceed for local Palampur sightseeing. Start the tour with a visit to Tashi Jong Monastery, a worship centre for Buddhists. It is also home to various Tibetan refugees. The monastery complex has a college for freshers and a Tibetan restaurant too.

Palampur is regarded as the ‘Tea capital of northwest India’, and thus, visit the Palampur tea gardens, stroll around, and spend time in nature. Next, head to Neugal Khad. It is a picnic place where you can enjoy a fun time in the glory of nature. Lastly, we will visit Saurabh Van Vihar to relax for a while and witness the lush greenery, beautiful scenery, and mighty mountains.

After the tour is complete, return to the hotel, and slide under the blankets for a sound sleep.

Day 03: Palampur - Chandigarh

Your tour concludes today. So, after breakfast, drive to Chandigarh Airport for your flight to your onward destination with pleasant memories.
